This Morning's Flower Tour

This is our patriotic welcome to our home.

I loved these flowers when I first saw them. They are called Daybreak and they open when the sun comes out and then close at night.

My orchids finally bloomed! There is a bit of a story with these. John's Mom gave some bulbs to me about four years ago and they were left in the same Wal-Mart bag through that first fall and winter in the garage. The next spring she asked me if I had planted them. No. With good intent, I moved the bag to the backyard for planting. Still never happened. Then I started a garden way out back and left the BAG outside all summer and that winter and still never planted them. The summer she lived with us, I finally planted them. I am not sure if they bloomed last year, but I have about 4-5 blooms now! Talk about tough little plants!

This snowball bush was also from my mother-in-law. She had this bush at her old house here in Metamora. It was originally a bush that was planted at the home that she grew up in. Her mother loved it. It's still trying to adjust to being moved, but I think in a few years it will once again be a beautiful bush.

Pinks. Once my Mom told me that Tammy loves these flowers, I think of Tammy everytime they bloom. I need to split and move 1/2 of them this fall though, they have spread out so much.

I got the orange vining Black Eyed Susan plant and can't wait for its beautiful display once it has matured more.

The gorgeous Dahlia. Love 'em.

Your gardens are beautiful, Shari! You are your mother's child. Really quality pics, too. Enjoyed the tour -- thanks!
