The only good thing in going back over the years that I saw is....we are living longer...BUT the price we have to pay to live longer..wow unbelievable..
In 1968 when we bought out first home we paid for a 1050sf house...$18,500. It was a ranch that was only about 1 1/2 years old, It had 3 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom...kitchen, living room and a full basement. Our house payment was...$127.00 month and our property taxes were around $300 a year. yeah...makes ya crazy to think of today..doesn't it!! I can remember heating our home for about $25 a month, electric 5.00 a month, my grocery bills were about $20 a week (and that was a HIGH week)..Okay now I am depressed!
