Now that forty years of my life have gone by...
Here is an interesting compilation of professions that at some point in my life I aspired to be...but never pursued it 100%:
1. Children's Author
I actually enrolled in the Institute of Children's Literature for a good year or so, beginning when I was about nineteen? I remember having to submit my work to my teacher via snail mail and she would then make corrections and recommendations and send the edited version back to me. I'm not quite sure why I never finished it, but of course now wish that I would've. Maybe my children could've been reading my published books.
2. Nurse
Back in 1993-1994 or so I took classes at Mott Community College to pursue a degree in nursing. I only had Josh and Matthew at that point. I absolutely loved being pregnant and having my babies, so I very much desired to work in the labor and delivery in the hospital eventually. Little did I know at that time, instead of actually becoming a nurse, I would go on to labor and deliver two more children.
I came across some of my papers from those classes and seen that I was actually a very good student. My transcript shows almost all A's. I had teken Physicology, English, History, Math and Medical Terminology.
Later on, without pursuing anything, just thinking how neat-o it would be, I would have also loved to look into photography. This could actually just be a hobby to pursue. I am not a very good picture taker, but I would LOVE to know how to be better at it. Like really good.

The only one I haven't really mentioned was being a mother to my four children. Now THAT is a job, and I've held this title the longest. I've worked hardest at it and I've also received the most rewards for it. Thank you Joshua, Matthew, Rachel and Alec for making motherhood what its been for me...pleasurable.

WOW!! You have quite a resume! You are good at many things, but I think you are best at being a mom, and you have four wonderful, healthy, well-adjusted young adults (before you know it) to show for it. (Who knows what or who they might grow up to be?)
You are also a gifted writer, and, as I have already told you, should be looking for some way that you can expose the rest of the world to your gift.
P.S. I was a hostess at Big Boy, too. What a riot! How 'bout those nasty old ladies that just want their coffee "johnny-on-the spot"?
All those jobs or schooling never would have given you the "promotion" of your dreams.....But Motherhood did and will continue to do so, for someday it will promote you to GRANDMA...! And the benefits are the best with kisses, hugs, pride that you will have seeing your grandchildren grow, love that is like no other and unconditional, with all the bragging rights you want.

your an awesome mom! that is the best- But your writings are great. I think you would be great as a children's author also....
Memories of your employment..... I so remember coming to Kroger and handing you like 50 coupons to safe on my on probably $60.00 grocery bill! LOL That was when you had to manually enter them, there was no scanner. Sooo, needless to say over 75% of my coupons rendered, I did not even purchase the items. Okay, okay, I know what you all are thinking....KRISTIE MARIE! But, Shari told me I could do it. It is her fault. Just listening to direction from my "OLDER" sister. And, that was when we were heathen's.(however that is spelled)
And then there is the Oakland Press. Okay, I lived in Auburn Hills at the time and my sister delivered papers in the Oxford-Lapeer area. (correct me if I am wrong). This is how GREAT of a sister I am (yes I am boasting LOL). She would call me at like 1:00 AM, yes I was fast asleep all nestled up in my bed, and plead for me to come deliver papers with her as she was scared. And the crazy thing is, I did!!! I must say, those were great times. Watching my sister get out of the car and attempt to throw a newspaper onto either the 2nd or 3rd floor balcony of an apartment. FUNNY!
Needless to say, there isn't anything I would not do for my WONDERFUL sister. :)
Now you know I am gonna be a preachin' on that one......I don't know where I went wrong, but I don't remember giving birth to children that would do something like that, tisk, tisk.

Lord forgive them for they no not what they do, or should I say they could claim that they didn't know then. But the kicker is HEY BLAME IT ON THE SISTER...LOL What a riot!
