Our first week away vacation as a family. Because we enjoyed it so much, every year after that we would pick a new spot on a lake somewhere in Michigan to spend the week during the summer. What great memories.
We stayed in a small, very rustic cabin on Indian Lake.
PaPa Mike and Grammy went with us.
The kids' ages were 9 (almost 10), 7, 3 (almost 4) and 2. Oh my gosh, were they cute or what?
It was the week that JFK, jr. died in that horrible plane crash. I remember that, because we had taken our small tv and were glued to the news once it happened.

oh my goodness......how cute is that. I remember it so well. The photo in my head is where Rachel is holding Alec's hand and they are walking from our cabin to yours, it was the cutest sight to see. Somewhere someone has a picture of that, I think Aunt Delores.
You should get a picture of John and the four kids standing the exact same way as in that picture, only today .....then realize how time has flown by...Ooooh my! It is just toooooo crazy.
I want them that age again.....darn it.

Got a feeling we're gonna be seeing those little faces reincarnated on down the road, though. LOL
Mom, I am going to do as you suggested - take a photo of all five of them together, in the same order!

John looks younger now in my opinion...so that's one comfort to hold on to if you can't have your babies back.
