In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another:
"Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty;
the whole earth is full of his glory."
~Isaiah 6: 1-3
I really want to do a study on the Glory of God. Because, I think, before people can understand the truth of the gospel, they must first see a glimpse of his glory.
And oh, that glimpse is so marvelous!

There is a song on the radio, and I haven't figured out who sings it yet, its "Glory to God". Love it. Talks about the angels worshipping around his throne.

If you want to join in, look up another verse that describes His glory and post it.

~go to the bottom of page 4 and read Dr. J. Vernon McGee's comments on this. Very good.
Remember when I first read that chapter? Lit me up.
1Chronicles 16:24
I like this whole chapter, just a reminder that even nature praises His glory.
I love that Isaiah passage! When we worship as a church, I often envision that scene. It's a picture of heaven -- 24/7.
I think of how God's glory ushered in the news that a Savior had been born. When the angel appeared to the shepherds in the field, Luke says, "the glory of the Lord shone around them" -- so much so that they were terrified.
...and then tonight I go to church and Beth Moore talks about the Glory of God.
I LOVE it.
Amazing how God confirms things....isn't it~!!!!!!
Love this blog, Shari....it is awesome to see it used like this. For this is what life is about.....
Then the glory of the LORD rose from above the cherubim and moved to the threshold of the temple. The cloud filled the temple, and the court was full of the radiance of the glory of the LORD.
~Eze 10:4
I love the descriptions of how He always "fills" the temple and is "full" of radiance.
Filled: become an overwhelming presence.
I was thinking last night when I read your blog how ironic it was that the subject of His glory came up last night. Very cool.
