His Hart

Everytime I hear the song by Toby Mac, "I Was Made To Love You", I think of Rhonda Hart. I remember how much she loved that song.

She was formerly and very well known as "Rockin Rhonda" on the rock station WRIF back in the day. I will remember her as the on-fire-for-Jesus radio personality on wmuz. She was 1/2 of the "Jon and Rhonda in the Morning Show". She had such a powerful testimony and was always sharing her love for Christ with people. In both her words and actions.

Sadly, she passed away unexpectedly in June of 2007 at 46 years of age.

Toby Mac's song came on this afternoon and it made me think of her. So I did a search and found this great site that has been set up as a tribute to her.

http://www.rhondahart.com/evangelize.htm

I encourage you to visit that link and read the page that you are brought to. It will bless you. It talks about what she was like and even the morning of her last radio show -- how she was worshipping the Lord during one song in particular....and that the song was about someday being in His presence. Wow.

Here also is the Toby Mac song:

Shari, once again you've made me cry. I read your blog about Rhonda Hart and it gave me chills. I have a similiar story about when my mom passed. My cousin, who lives in CA has an amazing voice and her husband bought her some studio time for a Christmas present last year. So, on January 7 she was at the studio recording some songs. She had just got done singing Cry Out to Jesus when they got the call about mom. She said they just cried, she was hardly able to record any more songs. It wasn't until a few months later that I heard this story; she wrote me a letter and gave me her original Demo CD. She said, she was blessed to have known mom and she was such a special lady and she wanted me to have it. I was deeply touched. That song brings me to tears every time I hear it now. The words are so powerful. Amazing how a song can move you, isn't it? Anyhoo... my cousin ended up getting a record deal! I'm giving her a plug: www.shannonhawkyard.com, :)check her out. She is amazing and I think you will like her! She wrote all but 2 songs on her CD. Very talented gal!

So many songs move me to tears when it comes to the Lord.

What a wonderful story about your cousin. That is awesome. I'm going to check her out.

I did not know your Mom, but I do know that she was indeed a very special woman.
